My gratefulness project: Day one
Gratefulness Day 1:
This tree has always fascinated me. It is huge and I can see it from my bedroom window at night. I leave my curtains open while I read or write and often look at this tree. I have lived here for almost 18 years now and I’m not sure when I noticed it, but since I did there’s something about this tree that makes me feel safe and grounded. I watch it change through the seasons, and it is always so beautiful in its shape and magnificence. I am so grateful this tree is there, so that I can watch it grow as I do.
A woman from my church started posting photos every day of things she is grateful for.
I love this idea.
It keeps her focus on what she feels makes her life more, better, joyful.
And they are often such simple things that she feels make a real difference to her life.
So I am going to try this myself.
I will begin today and I will see what a year of being grateful brings into my life.
Or what it helps me see more clearly is already there.
My guess is it’ll be totally transformative.
